Yosemite valley is one of the most iconic climbing destinations in the world, where the sport of climbing evolved into its many forms.
At the foot of the breathtaking Yosemite cliffs lie some large granite blocs around the campgrounds, Camp four, which pioneering big wall climbers would entertain as a form of training or “practise climbing.” As this form of technique and movement based practice was taken more seriously, it became its own branch of climbing known as bouldering today.
Bouldering has flourished as its own sport with distinct indoor and outdoor styles, but as indoor climbing continues to evolve, it is diverging from its history rooted in the mountains and the landscape.

優勝美地谷是一個極具代表性的攀石聖地，象徵著各種攀登運動的起源。
山谷當中的一個營地 - Camp Four，被峭壁圍繞、有著攀石人夢寐以求的巨型花崗岩石，從50年代開始，聚集了各路攀登愛好者，除了作為攀登 Big wall 前的準備及訓練，亦成為交流切磋的熱點。這種形式的攀登，慢慢演變成今天的抱石。
抱石發展至今，由室外走進室內，慢慢形成兩種截然不同的攀爬風格。特別是室內抱石比賽的蓬勃發展，令室內抱石漸漸與戶外抱石失去了聯繫。
所以我們選擇以「Camp Four」命名，希望 Camp Four 可以成為大家的聚腳點，互相交流切磋的同時，更可以讓各位攀登愛好者了解抱石的根源，同時享受不同風格的抱石路線。
